THEY SAID

They say the sky is gray today
But to me it looks quite blue.
I wonder Just how much they say
That's not even true.

They say that many things I eat
I shouldn't eat at all,
Like eggs and meat and maybe fish
or through death's door I'll crawl.

They say that I should fear you,
We don't look or talk the same, '
But I find that quite impossible,
Please tell me, again, your name.

They say that our religious beliefs
Should separate us from another,
But how can that possibly be?
When I know you're my sister or brother.

I can't worship the god of public opinion
When I don't believe what "they say".
The universal God of us all
Is the one to whom I pray.

                                        THEY SAY
                                   By Rev. Nora Allen

One of our greatest adversaries, or enemies, if you will, is a faceless, unknown entity known as "They Say." He seems to be one and the same with the great god called ‘Public Opinion."

Jesus said in John 10:34, 'YE ARE GODS. REMEMBER IT IS WRITTEN IN THE LAW; AND THE SCRIPTURES CANNOT BE BROKEN." Then why and how did we give up our power to others?

Everything from our diet to our death seems to be controlled by those outside ourselves. We pay homage to mass media and public opinion and give up our divine inclination to judge for ourselves.

Let us reclaim our authority to make decisions based upon our thinking, observations and feelings.

Let us take the old god of other people's opinions off his throne; and claim our own divinity.

Let's stop listening to that old "They Said" and pay more attention to our own I AM PRESENCE- the I AM THAT I AM.

Exodus 3:14116 "And God said unto Moses 'I AM THAT I AM. This is my name forever and this is my memorial unto all generations.'
