REV. NORA L. ALLEN
The oldest of nine children, Nora was born and raised in an area which we call “the Bible Belt”, Owensboro, Kentucky. She was married for 25 years and has three children. Her daughter, Gayla, lives in Tucson and writes for the Temple’s newsletter. Her sons, Geoff and Gary, live in California. She has four grand- children, Kelsey, Logan, Laura, and Shawn.
She lived in Bloomington, Illinois, for seven years when she “hit a tree”. That is what she calls God getting your attention and saying, “hey, life is not working the way its going - time for a change”.
In 1979 she came to Tucson for Christmas and never went back!
She already had an L.P.N. degree in nursing when she enrolled in Pima College and received her R.N .degree. She worked at TMC for eight years and then retired from St. Mary’s hospital after 13 years of service. She is currently volunteering in hospice and finds it very rewarding.
Nora was ordained in Rev. Bob Ireland’s church, Y-OUR Church, on February 24, 1991, as a minister of Healing. She feels very strongly about good health and self-healing. She was ordained as a minister in Temple of Universality on January 4, 1998.
Nora teaches Tarot, Astrology and Metaphysics A-Z, and on Monday mornings she teaches the White Eagle Healing & Meditation class.
We are blessed, indeed, to have Rev. Nora in our ministry. She is a beautiful, gentle woman with a beautiful soul and is a wonderful instrument for healing. |
