| Rachel ‘Sue’ Whitaker ‘Senn was born, the ninth child of a tenant Cherokee farmer family in Guadalupe, Arizona. She was raised by Native American parents who taught her to love Life and the Earth. After her father was killed working in unsafe conditions in the fields, her Mother moved to a suburb of Tempe., Arizona. Their next door neighbor was O’Pata Indian, Gustavo Gutierrez who was the right hand man of the Tarahumara Indian Ceasar Chavez. Gustavo and his wife Ricki began to assist the family in many ways. The youngest, ten year old Rachel Sue, saw a gentleness and a truthfulness in this giant of a man. He became her Godfather. She is just one of many he has kept clean of alcohol and drugs. |
| In 1975, I, Sue Senn, was introduced to Religious Science, ‘Science of Mind’. Classes provided through Religious Science taught me that we create our own world with our own thoughts. It also teaches that if anyone, including this teaching, tells you anything that your heart tells you differently, always follow your own heart. To be told what to believe, how to think, how to feel, what to say and how to act is slavery. Gustavo guided me into “Peace and Dignity Journeys’ (www.peaceanddignityjourneys.com) and how to participate as fully as possible. Red, Yellow, Black and White People running toward each other from Alaska and Argentina every four years (1992, 1996, 2000, 2004) praying for Peace and Dignity for all life. In our 1996 prayer run, Spirit led me to Revs. Anne Evans, and Betty Tatalajski leader and founder of the Temple of Universality’ where I am now an ordained minister. The Temples purpose is to connect God “Creator’ and all humans. No doctrine, no dogma, just total respect for differences yet remaining individuals who follow our own hearts. My priorities today are, sharing ceremonies at The Temple of Universality's Native American Center (Standing Bear's Sacred Grounds) in Sunsites, Arizona, continuing my ministry with the Native Americans at the Arizona State Prison, Douglas, Arizona, and always, my continual prayer for world peace through The World Federation for Peace, and Peace and Dignity Journeys. May we all journey with Peace and Dignity for all. Rev. Sue Senn |
