Rev.'s Barbara & Blaine Burlock
Blaine and Barbara were ordained as ministers, in the Temple of Universality, in August of 2003.    Theirs’ is a success story of High School sweethearts who have been married since 1971 and are the proud parents of two grown children, Jasmin and Iyan, and grandparents to Justin and Nicholas.

Blaine and Barbara first moved to Tucson, from their native Maine, in 1973.  Currently residing in Tucson since 1993.  Their spiritual backgrounds range from Methodist, Universalist/Unitarian,  Jehovah’s Christian Witnesses to becoming Universal Life Ministers.

Blaine’s professional career started as a teacher in the public school system, upon receiving a B.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Maine.  He later moved into the retail customer service fields, where he held positions in training and management.  Blaine loves music and is a gifted musician, playing many different instruments.  In college he belonged to a Baroque Recorder Group and performed classical music. He also loves photography and anything to do with the computer.  Spiritually, Blaine’s focus is with indigenous studies including stone readings set on the 7 sacred directions and earth ceremonies with his doorkeeper White Wolfe.

Barbara is multi-talented and wears many spiritual hats.  She is an expert fabric artist and has made many of the Temple vestments.  Her beautiful voice can be heard each Sunday morning as she leads the singing with the Choir.  Working with her doorkeeper, Blue Bonnet, she is a psychic artist, gives tarot readings, flame messages, feather messages, and clairvoyant messages.  Barbara is in the process of writing a book on “The Ancient Wisdom of Tarot” and is working on a line of clothing called “Kumara Kreations”.

The Temple is very fortunate, indeed, to have these two beautiful, talented souls as Ministers.
