| PRECIPITATED PICTURES ON CARDS By Rev. Kristine Fossatti About 20 of our Temple of Universality family members came together this July from across the country, and even from several other countries, to meet at the wonderful Spiritualist camp; Camp Chesterfield in Indiana. Rev. Betty Tatalajski has been taking groups there for about 20 years. It’s hard to find the words to describe one’s experiences there. It’s one of those things in life that really needs to be experienced to know what it is like to be on those sacred 114 year old grounds for a week. Not just because of the spirit guardians of the grounds but also because of the wonderful dedicated mediums that have lived and worked there for many years. One such medium is Rev. Hoyt Robinette. One of Hoyt’s spiritual gifts is called ‘CARD WRITING’ where your spirit guides, friends, and loved ones write their names on a plain white card. For the last three years Hoyt has developed his ‘gift’ further still, in that spirit puts a complete picture on the other side of the card now. Every one is different and magnificent! The materials used in ’CARDS’ are blank white 3x5 cards, a tightly woven basket with either a scarf to cover the top or a basket cover, and lots of colored pencils, pens, markers, crayons, etc. Also needed is the mediums ectoplasm for those in spirit to use. Before the séance Hoyt prepares himself through fasting, prayer and meditation. Then as we are quietly seated in a semicircle he hands a new pack of plain white 3”x 5” cards to someone to verify they are all blank. He then shows everyone there is nothing in the basket, or cover and proceeds to alternate layers of cards and writing utensils in the basket and puts the cover on. The basket is placed on a table in front of the group. Because there is a cover on the basket to make it dark inside there is no need to turn the lights off. Hoyt gives clairvoyant messages until those who work with him in spirit tell him the cards are ready. Some of us who have sat near the table and basket have actually heard the movements in the basket while spirit was creating them! He then dumps everything out on the table as the excitement in the room builds. He picks out the ones with writing and pictures on them. Your spirit teachers also put your name on it so he calls out your name and gives it to you. Some have your spirit guides faces or loved ones on them, while others have whole scenes. For example, Kirsten from Denmark has one with a European city on it in such intricate detail and Archangel Michael above it, which she confirmed is the angel of Denmark! I wish I could show them all to you. Rev. Betty Tatalajski received one with Mother Theresa last year and has made 1000’s of copies with a prayer so she could share this blessing with others. (Top right) The second one belongs to one of our Temple ministers. She has a guide named Silver Dove and you can see the silver dove in the angels hands. This card has also been made smaller, copied, with a prayer on the back and laminated to be shared with many as a prayer card.
