A friend of mine was driving through an intersection one day and his little four-year old son was in the car with him. The car door flew open, and the little boy rolled out of the vehicle right into the middle of traffic coming from four directions. The last thing my friend saw was a set of car wheels screeching to a halt right in front of the child. My friend jumped out of his car, picked up his unhurt son and noticed that the person in the other car was absolutely hysterical. My friend went over to him and was trying to comfort him… “Man, don’t be upset!” he said. “My son is all right, he’s okay. Just thank God you were able to stop!”
“You don’t understand!” the man responded. “I never touched my brakes!”

A couple of years ago I was getting ready to turn left on a busy street. I saw a space and was just waiting for this one car to clear before stepping on the gas and quickly getting across. Just as I started to take my foot off the brake it left my foot and went down by itself! At that moment another car came into view (it was in a blind spot, for a second, behind the other car) If not for Divine Intervention I would have driven into it head on! Kristine Fossatti |
