| CAMP CHESTERFIELD By Rev. Peter Morash An excerpt from Rev. Morash's July 1996 Temple News article Having learned in class that Ascended Masters are those Spirits who have gained their ascension from the Earth plane and that Universal Masters are Ascended Masters who have progressed to even higher levels of God Consciousness that they serve mankind from a Universal level, we were duly impressed with the array of teachers that spoke to us that first night. The significance of this event was not lost on some of us, nor was the message that was given that night. This message is still significant and like the words of Jesus in the New Testament, even though you were not here to hear it in the flesh, it still pertains to you today. Four Universal Masters spoke that night along with Yogananda, who told us he had not yet made the ascension. Saint Jude (known also as the Ascended Master Tritholomew) spoke first and gave each of us a blessing and healing. He said that he could be called upon for help or healing at anytime by anyone for whatever reason. He was not limited to one Faith or belief system, but was a Universal Healer. Next to speak was Nicodemus, who spoke about our group being part of the “chosen ones”, the many disciples who were with the Master Jesus 2,000 years ago and have assembled together in this lifetime to complete His/our work. He said that we must not place any limits upon ourselves in the development of our Spiritual Gifts, and in so doing we would develop to an extent never before witnessed in modern times. He said that he had to worship in secrecy then but now can be fully open to help our group accomplish our task. At this point we were wondering what task was he talking about? That question was quickly answered by Saint Germain, who spoke next. He said among his many titles and duties were the duty of being the Universal Master for our region (which we, later learned was all of the Western Hemisphere). He said that there would be four 'Centers of Light' in the world and that one of them would be built under his auspices in Southeastern Arizona. He said he was very much of the formulation of a 'Spiritualist Camp in Sierra Vista' (a term he used to describe this planned 'Light Center' perhaps because it would be similar to Camp Chesterfield). This 'Center of Light' would serve the future generations and provide the newer, higher wisdom in the same manner as Camp Chesterfield has served the world for the past 100 years. We were the new 'Light Bearers', charged with the task of building this “Center of Light”, - providing the teachers/faculty for the new Seminary, and providing the healers and mediums who would further demonstrate the power of God and the Holy Spirit. Finally, White Owl addressed the group saying he was the Universal Master of all Indians and was very much involved with the 'Inner Vision Circle' and the planned 'Spiritual Center' in Sierra Vista. It would serve as a place to glorify the Spiritual customs of the Indian people, and also serve to unify them. He asked us to join together with him and the other Indian Spirits to work for unity among the Indian nations and for World Peace. Until that night, the concept of a large 'Spiritual Center of Light' in Arizona was a vague dream given to some of us at various times over the past few years. Now we had been given a commission by Saint Germain to build such a center. This mission is ongoing and undoubtedly will take the rest of our lifetime to complete. You who read this are part of this mission - should you choose to accept it! |
