| THE "I AM" INSTRUCTION: HOW IT BEGAN In 1930 Guy W. Ballard, hiking in northern California, met the Ascended Master Saint Germain on the side of Mount Shasta. His remarkable experiences are recorded in the books, Unveiled Mysteries and The Magic Presence, written under the pen name of Godfre Ray King. First published in 1934, the books have never been out of print. This introduction was followed by more than 3000 Discourses by the Ascended Masters. Out of this dynamic and practical instruction the "I AM" Activity was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Ballard, under the daily direction of Saint Germain. The purpose of the Ascended Masters' "I AM" Activity is to bring help from Their Octave of Life. Mankind must have more than ordinary assistance to stand against the accumulation of mankind's disobedience to the Laws of Life. Physical actions alone cannot solve the world's problems nor remove the discordant energy which human beings release against each other, usually ignorant of its destructive force. Bailey, information received from the Master Djwahal Khul, published by Lucis Trust. Well, these “I AM” discourses received by the Ballards from St. Germain are the wonderful ‘green books’! The first one is called, ‘Unveiled Mysteries (original). In chapter VII, “The Secret Valley”, this true story takes place right here in Tucson, AZ. and in the mountains just southeast of Tucson in Master Eriel’s spiritual retreat above this “secret valley”. The Ascended Master Eriel is also the Master Teacher of our Rev. Inger Mason! In “Law Of Life” by ADK LUK, the ‘yellow books’, it says: In August 1939, when so many children were thrown out of embodiment in China, the Master Eriel and Fun Wey rendered tremendous service to more than ten thousand children there. Eriel took sixty to his Retreat for training so they too could make the ascension at the close of that embodiment. His focus of light is in the high mountains in Arizona. He teaches in His Retreat the use of the light and sound ray, and many other actions of the Law. He assisted in rendering China great service by establishing certain conditions, which they hope, will bring about purity and her perfection once again. About five years ago we held a service in this canyon, now called ‘Garden Canyon’.
